Last November 30th, the 3rd ICBAS International Seminar Series ended. Closing this path, which we started in October 2021, we hosted Prof. Francesco Emma, Head of the Department of Nephrology and Dialysis of the Ospedale Pediatrico “Bambino Gesù” in Rome. A truly transdisciplinary seminar on “Genetic diseases of the proximal renal tubule”.

This series also included experts from animal nutrition (Margareth Øverland), nursing sciences (Ingalill Rahm Hallberg) and the study of cancer (Marina Mapelli).

“These international seminars have already allowed us to bring to ICBAS seventeen internationally renowned speakers. Excellent researchers, medical doctors and teachers, from Cambridge to the World Health Organization, have been hosted at ICBAS and presented outstanding work on the most varied areas, from applied to basic sciences. It has been a long journey, requiring a lot of networking and teamwork, that had already produced fruitful results” says Alexandra Moreira, responsible for the ICBAS International Relations Office.

The 4th Series is already being organized with the collaboration of several ICBAS faculty members and researchers, with an expected starting date in January 2023.
